Maria Jesús (Chus) Fernández is a native speaker of Spanish. She is the Director of Undergraduate Studies.  She has a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting. She has done professional lexicographic work and has worked as a freelance translator. She completed projects funded by the Teaching Quality Improvement Scheme for the development of Computer Assisted Language Learning and Translation Project Management. Chus is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is also the coordinator of postgraduate student placements. Her research interests lie in the areas of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, Terminology and Translation and Translator Training.
